Reconstructive Surgery

Plastic surgery was born out of reconstructive surgery, and the name originates from the Greek word “plastikos” which means to mold and form. Most plastic surgeons in Canada have a mixed practice which includes both cosmetic and reconstructive operations. This is highly advantageous to our patients, as techniques from both realms are often incorporated into our surgeries, particularly for challenging cases.
